中文课程
MANDARIN PROGRAM

​幼儿班招收4岁左右儿童。上课时间为一小时。幼幼班教学内容主要是中文为载体的游戏和玩乐活动，让孩子在趣味中接触语言。

preK class accepts kids who are around 4-yr old. The main activities in this class include fun playing using Mandarin. Kids will be immersed with the language while playing.

​教授马立平二年级教材。着重提高学生识字量，进一步提高学生听说读写的能力。

This course follows Ma Liping 2nd grade book, further emphasizes on the breath of characters, and sentence composition. Students will gain additional proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Mandarin in practical situations.

​吴立芬 Lifen Wu

​持续要求学生增加词汇量，提高中文写作能力，阅读能力。老师会采取项目式教学的方法，引导学生使用中文。5年级学生可参加学校组织的HSK 4级考试。

This course focuses on the following aspects: (1) expanding and enriching students’ vocabulary significantly; (2) introducing advanced grammar; (3) developing the students’ abilities to read and analyze modern prose, essays and short stories; (4) basic training of writing. Student will be coached to take HSK level 4 exam.

​王晏虹 Yanhong Wang

​幼儿班招收5-6岁儿童。上课时与一年级及以上年级一样（约2小时）。老师教授启蒙拼音，以听读教学为主。

This course is a fun start to learn Mandarin for 5-6 year old kids. the duration of this class will be same as 1st grade, which is around 2 hours. The class is focusing on Pin Yin, speaking, and listening. Writing Pin Yin and simple characters are encouraged.

​吴冬云 Dongyun Wu

教授马立平三年级教材。正式教授拼音，引入语法，写作等高阶中文能力。

This course follows Ma Liping Grade 3 book, formally teaches grammar and improves reading and writing skills in Mandarin. Continue to build up students’ vocabulary and teach them how to compose correct sentences. Dictionary use is introduced.

王亚晴 Yaqing Wang

​马立平六年级教材。持续扩大学生中文词汇量，要求学生提高中文写作水平，要求学生用中文表达观点。

This course follows Ma Liping Grade 6 book, provides students with basic knowledge and techniques of argumentative composition (300-600 words each). Students are expected to be able to articulate their views convincingly in both spoken and written language after taking this course.

​戚英来 Yinglai Qi

教授马立平一年级教材。介绍简单的汉字，着重培养学生的基本听读能力。

This course follows Ma Liping Grade 1 book, focuses on characters (creation, evolution, and stroke orders). Reading and writing skills are introduced. It includes basic sentence pattern analysis and development of language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

黄杨静婷 Shelly Yong

马立平四年级教材。教学生使用字典，阅读较复杂的中文文章，持续学习汉字，提高写作水平。

This course follows Ma Liping Grade 4 book, asks students to use their own dictionary and get ready to read simple articles. Students will be able to write letters, articles, short stories, and much more after taking this course.
